Who We Are
Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a non-profit international non-governmental organization of young people between 18 and 40 years old. It has members in about 124 countries, and regional or national organizations in many of them. It has consultative status with the Council of Europe, with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and with UNESCO. It was founded in St Louis in 1915. It encourages young people to become responsible citizens and to participate in efforts towards social and economic development, and international co-operation, good-will and understanding. Its members are called Jaycees (from JC’s).
JCI Kinta is one of the 73 JCI local organization in Malaysia. JCI Kinta was founded and affiliated in year 2016 at the JCI Malaysia Annual National Convention held in Penang.
JCI Kinta is located in a humble yet rapidly developing town in Ipoh, Perak. Our members consists of youth within the age of 18-40 years old. Our activities include serving the community, individual growth trainings, business and entrepreneurship events and international networking.

Individual Development

Community Development
Community spirit in JCI doesn’t stop at a local level; many national and international projects take place each year. JCI is an official partner of the United Nations and supports the UN Millennium Development Goals.

JCI achieves it’s goals of impacting the community through a tripartite partnership with government, civil society and businesses. Entrepreneurs form a critical part of the partnership. JCI members engage the business community via seminars, workshops and networking.
